Florida Clinic Paying $10,000,000 To Data Breach Victims In Settlement

03-Jul-2026 The Daily Hodl

A Florida medical clinic is preparing to pay affected individuals a total of $10 million in a proposed class action settlement.

The clinic has agreed to the resolution covering claims related to a data security incident, according to the official settlement website.

The lawsuit was launched alleging the clinic failed to adequately protect sensitive patient data.

Plaintiffs accused the provider of inadequate security measures that led to the incident discovered in February of 2024.

The complaint claims potential unauthorized access exposed personal information of notified individuals, and class members include those who received breach notifications and may qualify for cash payments.

The settlement is non-reversionary, ensuring funds go to the class after fees.

The defendant denies liability, and eligible people must have submitted claims by the deadline to receive benefits.
