
A Pennsylvania man is going to federal prison for four years after using the name Mr. Satan to post violent threats on YouTube against President Trump and others.
Shawn Monper, 33, of Butler County posted the messages between January 15th and April 5th of 2025, reports PennLive.
He pleaded guilty in April of 2026 to two counts of threatening federal officials and law enforcement officers. He accepted responsibility for additional counts as part of the plea.
He got a gun permit after the January 2025 inauguration and posted about buying guns and ammunition. He also wrote that he planned a mass shooting.
YouTube made an emergency disclosure to the FBI. He was arrested April 9th of 2025 and has been held since.
Says U.S. District Judge W. Scott Hardy,
“extremely serious criminal conduct” that will “not be tolerated and will be answered with serious consequences.”
He will serve three years of supervised release after prison.
