Bringing Decentralized Innovation to India’s Largest Government-Backed Tech Festival
Web3 Kerala (W3K) successfully concluded the W3K Web3 Summit as a major highlight of the Kerala Innovation Festival 2025 (KIF), India’s largest government-backed innovation event organized by the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM). The summit attracted over 350 Web3-focused participants and was part of a larger celebration that brought together 10,000+ attendees including developers, students, startups, creators, investors, and policymakers from across the country.
Held in Kochi on July 25–26, the summit marked a pivotal moment in Kerala’s growing embrace of decentralized technologies, blending blockchain with themes like AI, sustainability, and public-sector innovation.
As the official Web3 partner of the Kerala Innovation Festival, Web3 Kerala curated a diverse and immersive Web3 experience that went beyond traditional crypto events. The W3K Web3 Summit featured multiple interactive zones, each designed to inspire, onboard, and activate new builders and creators:
One of the most exciting and engaging components of the W3K Web3 Summit was the Web3 Gaming Zone, a two-day activation that drew massive participation from attendees across all age groups and backgrounds.
Gaming Zone was designed in collaboration with Matrix.fun, a next-gen gaming tournament platform that lets users enter with any token, compete, climb leaderboards, and earn rewards through skill-based gameplay. CPT joined as the official meme community partner, adding even more fun to the experience.
With the support of Avalanche Team1, attendees got hands-on with AAA and casual Web3 games like:
Using PCs and PS5 setups, visitors experienced first-hand what it means to play-to-earn, participate in on-chain tournaments, and be rewarded for gaming performance.
Matrix.fun’s mission “Turn your tokens into a way to play” was on full display as players entered with the tokens they already held and earned rewards, airdrops, and prizes through both casual and competitive matches.
The Gaming Zone stood out as a community magnet, creating buzz, engagement, and a tangible sense of how Web3 is revolutionizing the gaming industry.
Web3 Kerala (W3K) is a grassroots initiative committed to educating, empowering, and onboarding the next generation of Web3 builders, creators, and communities.
