Crypto traded with a steady but still selective tone over the past 24 hours. Bitcoin held above $77,000, Ethereum led the biggest non-stablecoin names, and the rest of the major-cap complex stayed positive, but the wider market still looked more mixed than euphoric.

The total crypto market capitalization is about $2.65 trillion, up roughly 0.4% over the past 24 hours, while 24-hour trading volume stood near $83.7 billion. Bitcoin dominance was about 58.0% and Ethereum dominance was about 10.6%, which points to a market that is still rewarding liquidity and scale rather than rotating aggressively into smaller names.

That matters because the top layer of the market is still doing most of the work. When Bitcoin and the major altcoins stay firm while the wider board remains patchy, the cleaner read is not a full breakout. It is a large-cap-led move where traders are still choosing familiarity and depth first.

Bitcoin And The Top Five Alts

Bitcoin traded around $77,031 and was up 0.5% over the past 24 hours. The move was modest, but it kept BTC close enough to $80,000 for that level to remain the next obvious headline target.

Ethereum traded around $2,324 and was up 2.1% over the same window, making ETH the strongest move among the largest non-stablecoin assets in this snapshot. That kind of relative strength usually suggests a healthier risk tone than a pure Bitcoin-only grind.

XRP traded around $1.39 and was up 0.2% over 24 hours. The token stayed constructive, but it moved more in line with Bitcoin than with Ethereum’s stronger pace.

BNB traded around $625.51 and was up 0.4% over 24 hours. The move was quieter than Ethereum and Solana, but it kept Binance Coin in positive territory and preserved the broader large-cap bid.

Solana traded around $84.64 and was up 1.1% over 24 hours. That left SOL ahead of Bitcoin, XRP, BNB, and TRON, though still behind Ethereum in this pass.

TRON traded around $0.3224 and was up 0.4% over 24 hours. TRX remained positive, but it stayed at the back of the major-cap group on momentum.

Top Five Gainers And Losers Over 24 Hours

CoinGecko’s latest visible 24-hour top-1000 board stayed much more volatile than the majors. The strongest gainers were Bitway, Orca, Swarms, Terra Luna Classic, and ApeCoin. On the downside, the weakest names were Nockchain, ETHGas, Onyxcoin, Block Street, and MemeCore.

That split is important because it shows the same pattern visible in the majors. The market is still offering upside, but it is doing so selectively, with sharp dispersion underneath rather than a clean all-market melt-up.

Why The Market Moved

The flow backdrop softened. Farside’s latest available data showed U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs recorded a net $89.7 million of outflows on April 28, while U.S. spot ether ETFs posted a net $21.8 million outflow on the same day. Those figures do not line up with a clean institutional risk-on message, which helps explain why the broader market still looks cautious even with several majors in the green.

The macro tone also stayed uneasy. Reuters reported on April 29 that the dollar edged higher as investors waited for the Federal Reserve decision and continued to weigh war-related tension in the Middle East. That backdrop does not necessarily stop crypto from bouncing, but it does make broad participation harder to sustain.

That is the cleaner read for this session. Bitcoin is holding a strong range, Ethereum is carrying the best momentum among the majors, and the top of the market is still attracting bids. What the market is not doing yet is turning that strength into a full-board breakout.
