How to Use Copy Trading on BitMEX 

Before starting Copy Trading, explore the full list of Copy Leaders on the Copy Trading Marketplace, which you can find here. 

The Copy Trading Marketplace allows you to browse and filter Copy Leaders on BitMEX based on your desired criteria. For more in-depth information, simply click on any Copy Leader’s profile to view a breakdown of their trading statistics and historical performance. 

To begin copying a Copy Leader:

1. Choose ‘Copy’ to mirror the leader’s trades, or ‘Reverse Copy’ to trade in the opposite direction of their trades. 
2. Input the amount of trading balance you wish to commit. 
3. We highly recommend setting your own risk parameters, such as Stop Loss and Take Profit.
4. Upon activation, please note that you will only replicate the leader’s subsequent trades, not any positions they are currently holding. 

*Note: After inputting your copy trading balance, the funds will be automatically transferred into your dedicated Copy Trading Sub Account. You do not need to manually transfer funds from your main BitMEX account.

How to Change or Stop Your Copy Trades

To view and manage your Copied Leaders, navigate to the ‘Copied Traders’ button at the top of the Copy Trading interface. Here, you’ll be able to perform three key actions:

1. See More: to view additional details of the Copy Leaders and update your copy trading settings.
2. Transfer Funds: to increase/decrease your trading balance allocated to a Copy Leader.
3. Stop Copy Trading: to immediately close any ongoing copied trades and to stop copying a Copy Leader’s future trades.

Become a Copy Leader & Amplify Your Earnings

Navigate to the ‘Copy Leader’ button at the top. Here, you’ll be able to perform three key actions:

1. Create New Copy Leader Account: to set up a new Copy Leader profile.
2. See More: to view additional details such as Profit Sharing Scale and edit your profile settings.
3. Stop Copy Leading: to close your Copy Leader profile and ongoing trades for your Copiers.

When setting up a new Copy Leader account, key in details such as your trading balance allocation, profit share percentage, and the minimum balance required for your Copiers. For more information on becoming a Copy Leader, please refer to this article.

*Note: After inputting your trading balance, the funds will be automatically transferred into your dedicated Copy Leader Sub Account. You do not need to manually transfer funds from your main BitMEX account.

How to Manage Your Trades as a Copy Leader

To begin trading as a Copy Leader, select your Copy Leader account from the Sub Account menu. You can then execute trades as you normally would on BitMEX. 

Only trades made within this specific Copy Leader account will be reflected to your Copiers, while trades executed in any other BitMEX Sub Accounts will not be visible to them.
