Hashgraph Labs India, the India-based subsidiary of The Hashgraph Group in Switzerland, has become an official member of NASSCOM.

Joining NASSCOM in India may lead to new avenues of adoption for Hedera in India. Already, A.R Rahaman’s Secret Mountain project is utilizing Hedera, with OpenAI being involved in some way.

The membership embeds Hashgraph Labs India within the heart of the country’s technology and policy ecosystem, where major decisions around digital transformation and enterprise innovations are shaped.

NASSCOM (The National Association of Software and Services Companies) is India’s leading tech industry body and chamber of commerce.

NASSCOM represents India’s $283 billion tech sector spanning across IT services, software, a range of startups, global capability centers, and emerging technologies like blockchain.

NASSCOM plays a critical role in policy advocacy, industry standards, and enterprise collaboration with new technologies, helping to position India as an international hub for digital infrastructures.

Implications for Hedera Adoption in India

Membership in NASSCOM gives Hashgraph Labs India direct access to connections between enterprises, policymakers, and tech leaders based in the region.

Connections via NASSCOM create a powerful channel to advance enterprise-grade Web3 and distributed ledger solutions built on Hedera to regulated environments.

From The Hashgraph Group:

As part of NASSCOM, we look forward to contributing towards the technology programs, strategic forums, GCC roundtables, policy advocacy, enterprise use cases, engineering talent, and supporting the growth of India’s digital infrastructure.

Through NASSCOM-led programs, Hedera use cases may be explored in a range of services, including healthcare, supply chains, and payments.

As India continues to emerge as one of the world’s biggest technology markets, the partnership invites Hashgraph Labs India to influence how distributed ledger technology could be adopted at scale in the region.

Working within NASSCOM’s ecosystem, Hashgraph may be better placed to support India’s growing blockchain adoption and become a good, foundational infrastructure for the next-gen enterprise systems.
