This uptick has been observed while the broader crypto market is experiencing a slight dip. This independent strength highlights ICP’s ecosystem momentum, driven by a fresh announcement of AI developer tools and the explosive rollout of ICP payments in more than 137 Swiss supermarkets.
As altcoins struggle under bearish macro sentiment, ICP’s rise shows increasing real-world use and strong interest from the developers.

This advances ICP’s vision of a “self-writing internet.”

For ICP, which positions itself as a scalable blockchain for Web3 infrastructure, this aligns perfectly with the booming AI-blockchain intersection. With this rollout, the developer engagement could increase and this could spark new project launches and network activity in the coming weeks.
Moreover, ThiaStardust also posted about a new Cloud Engines proposal that is being tested on the Network Nervous System (NNS). The aim of this proposal is to improve how decentralized apps run on ICP by making the network more efficient and increasing rewards for node providers.

Then in another X post, strong developer activity has also been highlighted and claims have been put out that ICP is one of the most active blockchain ecosystems on GitHub for several months, with ongoing work around canisters, Chain Fusion, AI integration, and scaling.

Recently, the Dfinity Foundation announced that Internet Computer (ICP) payments are now live. The payments can be made across more than 137 stores operated by SPAR Switzerland. This shows that the project’s real-world crypto adoption is increasing day-by-day.
The system processes payments fully on-chain without banks. The move highlights growing real-world adoption of ICP, showing its potential for fast, low-cost everyday payments.
Near-term, ICP’s trajectory hinges on holding the daily pivot at $2.24. A sustained close above this level could propel it toward the 7-day Simple Moving Average (SMA) near $2.28, especially if volume picks up.
Conversely, a breakdown risks retesting recent lows around $2.20. The blend of AI tools, technical recovery, and payments news positions ICP in neutral-to-bullish consolidation, contrasting altcoin weakness.
