Company increases Bitcoin position with strategic acquisition

Between July 13 and July 17, Strive purchased 21 Bitcoin for approximately $1.3 million. The acquisition came at an average cost of roughly $63,221 per Bitcoin. Details of this transaction were disclosed through an 8-K filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

This acquisition elevated Strive’s Bitcoin position from 19,900 BTC to its current level of 19,921 BTC. As a result, the total treasury value now approaches $1.3 billion at current market prices. This latest move maintains the company’s position as the seventh-largest publicly traded corporate holder of Bitcoin.

Alongside the Bitcoin purchase, the company’s cash position showed improvement. Cash and cash equivalents grew to $157.4 million, up from $154.1 million reported in the previous week. This indicates the firm managed to acquire Bitcoin while simultaneously bolstering its liquid assets.

Equity structure adjustments align with treasury objectives

Throughout the reporting window, Strive maintained its at-the-market equity offering program for Class A shares. The number of outstanding Class A shares rose by 443,797, bringing the total to 73,869,961. Meanwhile, Class B shares experienced a minor decrease to 9,800,012.

The company continues to hold 7,829,502 shares of its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock, trading under the ticker SATA. Additionally, Strive maintains 505,000 shares of Strategy’s Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock without modification. The fair value assessment of this investment decreased by $1.1 million to $43.1 million.

While this Bitcoin acquisition reflects a more measured pace compared to earlier buying sprees, Strive demonstrates ongoing commitment to expanding its digital asset reserves. Additionally, the average acquisition cost remained favorable relative to price levels seen during previous accumulation phases.

Corporate evolution driven by merger and Bitcoin accumulation vision

Strive achieved public company status through the combination of Strive Asset Management and Asset Entities. Following this, the company significantly expanded its Bitcoin position by completing an all-stock acquisition of Semler Scientific. That deal finalized in January with shareholder backing, elevating combined Bitcoin reserves above the 12,000 BTC threshold.

After completing its merger, Strive has systematically grown its Bitcoin treasury using equity-based financing mechanisms. The firm generates capital through preferred equity instruments rather than convertible debt structures. This approach enables management to continue Bitcoin acquisitions while scaling corporate digital asset holdings.

Strive disclosed a $393 million loss for its initial six months operating as a publicly traded entity. This figure primarily reflects accounting methodologies associated with Bitcoin valuations and equity issuance activities. The company remains committed to its ambitious objective of establishing a $4.2 billion capital foundation to support ongoing Bitcoin acquisition initiatives.

In contrast, Strategy, which holds the distinction of being the largest corporate Bitcoin holder, reported zero Bitcoin transactions during the corresponding period. Its holdings stayed constant at 843,775 BTC. Strive, meanwhile, persists in growing its treasury while executing its comprehensive Bitcoin accumulation roadmap.
