On Monday, Bernstein SocGen Group analyst Richard Clarke increased his Airbnb (ABNB) price target to $217, up from $168, while reaffirming an Outperform rating. The stock is currently trading around $187.30, approaching its 52-week peak of $189.20, representing a 44% gain over the past twelve months.
According to Clarke, Airbnb’s second-quarter 2026 performance represents a pivotal turning point for the platform. Night growth jumped from 7% in Q2 2025 to 10% in Q4 2025, with company leadership now forecasting a fifth consecutive quarter of approximately 10% or better night growth.
The company boasts gross profit margins of 82.9%, while 14 analysts have increased their earnings projections ahead of the upcoming reporting cycle.
Clarke’s updated $217 price objective reflects a 25.5 times EBITDA valuation multiple combined with expectations for 12% yearly revenue expansion.
Clarke anticipates Airbnb will deliver approximately 20% annual earnings per share growth, driven by consistent double-digit revenue increases, incremental margin improvements, and continued share repurchases.
The analyst also highlighted multiple potential revenue opportunities on the horizon: artificial intelligence-enhanced search capabilities, dynamic pricing mechanisms, customer loyalty initiatives, and sponsored listing placements. While these features remain in early development stages, they could contribute significant upside potential.
According to Clarke’s analysis, current market pricing reflects a medium-term revenue growth assumption of only 10.5% to 11%. This creates potential upside opportunity if the company maintains growth rates exceeding this baseline.
Airbnb’s second-quarter 2026 revenue and adjusted EBITDA exceeded analyst consensus forecasts by 0.8% and 2.7% respectively. The company’s third-quarter revenue guidance midpoint of $4.73 billion surpassed Street expectations by 2.7%.
Following these results, Wedbush elevated ABNB to Outperform, highlighting platform enhancements. BMO Capital increased its price target to $165 while keeping a Market Perform stance. UBS raised its target to $172, emphasizing product improvements and accelerating night growth metrics.
However, not all analysts share this optimism. Phillip Securities downgraded Airbnb from Neutral to Reduce due to valuation worries, despite raising its price target to $158.
The overall Wall Street consensus for ABNB stands at Moderate Buy, derived from 18 Buy ratings, 11 Hold ratings, and 2 Sell ratings issued over the previous three months.
The average twelve-month price target across all analysts is $180.81, representing approximately 3.5% downside from current trading levels.
