McLaren and Hedera Partner for HBAR’s Biggest Marketing Stunt AllinCrypto January 23, 2026

McLaren Racing announced a multi-year partnership with the Hedera Foundation, listing Hedera as an Official Partner of the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team and the Arrow McLaren IndyCar Team.

The collaboration will bring Hedera infrastructure into motorsport, with Hedera set to create new, officially licensed digital fan experiences built on HBAR’s distributed ledger.

The first use case will be a digital collectibles program, with free-to-claim collectibles released during Formula 1 Grand Prix weekends and new Arrow McLaren IndyCar collectibles throughout the upcoming 2026 season.

The collectibles aim to go beyond digital memorabilia and will incorporate a wide variety of special experiences inclduing prizes and incentives designed to engage F1 fans.

With the experience only happening on Hedera, HBAR branding will appear across all McLaren cars, race suits, and team kits from 2026, giving the network a new type of visibility and exposure on a global stage.

The partnership is a strong show of Hedera’s potential for mainstream attention, working with one of the world’s most recognized sports brands to essentially demonstrate that Hedera’s tech is mature enough and prepared for mainstream attention. From the Hedera Foundation, it’s a great marketing device.

In 2026, the partnership could open doors to broader use cases such as tokenized tickets for races, verifiable fan credentials, loyalty programs, and digital experiences tied to events.

With Mastercard also being involved with McLaren, there could be an extended partnership in the future between Hedera and Mastercard as the payment firm set eyes on utilizing blockchain technology for faster payments in 2025.
