Monex Group has outlined its strategic focus on both XRP and Solana (SOL) for 2026, indicating increased integration of both assets within its crypto segment business operations. This is an indication of the company’s focus on staking revenue, product expansion, and global expansion within the digital asset market space.

Strategic Focus on XRP and SOL

Monex Group has revealed that XRP and Solana (SOL) will be key to its crypto asset strategy in 2026. The company seeks to utilize the two assets in its investment products as well as infrastructure services.

The approach involves an expansion of exposure through exchange-traded products (ETPs), staking services, and structured investment products related to these services.

SOL Staking as a Recurring Revenue Pillar

One of the main features of the strategy is the staking of revenue linked to Solana. By offering SOL staking services on its platforms, Monex aims at generating income from yield-based sources while offering its clients access to on-chain rewards.

The proof-of-stake system of Solana enables token holders to earn rewards by participating in the validation of the network. Staking services may generate a predictable income stream for financial institutions based on network activity rather than relying on the appreciation of the asset.

Institutional Growth Through 3iQ ETFs

Monex’s digital asset division, 3iQ, has rolled out exchange-traded funds providing exposure to Solana and XRP assets in Canada. Notably the Solana ETF, symbol SOLQ, grants institutional investors access to SOL and the XRP ETF (XRPQ) provides exposure to XRP. Both products are traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

These ETFs are structured to meet the needs of institutional investors seeking regulated crypto investment products in Canada.

Leadership Shift Toward Crypto Segment

As part of the overall strategic direction, 3iQ is continuing to build its presence within Monex’s dedicated crypto asset segment. The move, which is expected to progress in April, is intended to improve the overall coordination of Monex’s digital asset business and global institutional reach.

Monex has been expanding its footprint in digital assets through its subsidiaries, with exposure to the Japanese and North American markets.

Broader Institutional Crypto Strategy

The focus of the fund on XRP and SOL indicates an increasing interest in diversified Layer 1 blockchain assets, apart from Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Ripple XRP is traditionally linked to cross-border settlement infrastructure, while Solana has established itself as a high-throughput platform for smart contracts that supports decentralized apps and staking products.

By matching product development and revenue models to these assets, Monex seems to be focusing on:

  • Growth of the Regulated Investment Products Industry
  • Staking-based recurring revenue
  • Cross-border institutional distribution
  • Integrated crypto segment expansion
