At NearCon 2026, NEAR unveiled Near.com, a new crypto wallet and app designed to simplify crypto interactions.
Announced by co-founder Illia Polosukhin, the product aims to remove friction tied to gas fees, private keys, and multi-chain complexity, allowing users to manage bitcoin, stablecoins, NFTs, and other assets in one streamlined interface.
Polosukhin framed the launch as part of the “agentic era,” where AI systems act as economic participants capable of transacting autonomously.
Near.com is built to function not only as a user-friendly web3 wallet via the web, but also as a financial backend for AI agents.
A new confidential mode addresses crypto transparency concerns by enabling private balances and transactions using NEAR’s security framework.

Beyond the new near.com wallet, NEAR also introduced IronClaw, an open-source alternative to OpenClaw that runs inside encrypted enclaves on NEAR AI Cloud, enabling agents to access systems securely while protecting credentials.

The network also announced a Confidential GPU Marketplace powered by NEAR DCML. It provides TEE-secured compute for enterprise AI workloads, ensuring jobs run in encrypted environments where even GPU operators cannot access sensitive data.
Together, these launches give an overview of NEAR’s 2026 strategy and beyond. The network is now combining user-friendly crypto infrastructure with privacy, utilizing AI to attract both consumers and enterprise AI builders.
New privacy features remind investors of the 2025 surge of Zcash and the launch of Cardano’s Midnight privacy sidechain, proving the importance of the privacy narrative for institutional crypto adoption.
