Shiba Inu Records First Burn Rate Drop of 2026 Despite 3.7M SHIB Burned

Shiba Inu started 2026 strong despite the first drop in its burn rate of the year. In the last 24 hours, the token burn fell by 97.83%, although 3,777,885 coins were removed.

On a weekly basis, the burn remains consistent: 193,830,385 SHIB were burned, a 502% increase compared to the previous week. This reduced the total supply to 589,245,844,288,847 SHIB, reinforcing the token’s scarcity dynamics.

The price responded positively to network activity: SHIB trades at $0.000007523, up 7.35% in the last 24 hours and 4.51% for the week, while trading volume rose 35%, surpassing $134 million. The memecoin appears positioned for the next bullish move, with key resistance at $0.000008 and $0.000011 and support at $0.000007.

SHIB developer Kaal Dhairya stated that in 2026 the focus will be on consolidation and sustainable development, prioritizing repair, focus, and building long-lasting projects for the community.
