KuCoin’s European arm has secured a MiCA license in Austria, allowing it to provide regulated crypto-asset services across the entire European Economic Area under the EU’s passporting rules. With authorization in a single member state, the exchange can now legally operate in all 27 EU countries through this hub. The move follows KuCoin’s recent registration with Australia’s AUSTRAC, reinforcing its push to align with major global regulatory regimes and attract more compliant-focused users.
