HSC Conference Brings Institutional Digital Asset Leaders To Ho Chi Minh City For Discussions On RWA, Stablecoins, And Infrastructure

The upcoming HSC Conference in Ho Chi Minh City is set to bring together an exceptional roster of speakers, each bringing distinct expertise to one of Southeast Asia’s most consequential conversations at the intersection of institutional finance and digital assets.

Among the standout figures is Ben El-Baz, Managing Director & Head of International Markets at HashKey Group, a founding member of Asia’s most comprehensively licensed digital asset institution, and Jeremy Ng, Founder & CEO of OpenEden, the former Goldman Sachs executive behind the world’s first dual-rated tokenized U.S. Treasury fund. Also speaking is Queenie Le, Regional Expansion Lead APAC at Tether, central to the stablecoin’s expansion across Southeast Asia, alongside Alice Truong, Vice President & Head of Digital Assets APAC at Nuvei, and Alex Toh, Executive Director of Fintech Investments at SC Ventures, Standard Chartered’s venture arm currently deploying a dedicated $250 million digital asset fund.

They will be joined by Rania Rahardja, APAC Director at Ondo Finance, Kha Nguyen, Co-Founder & CEO of Birdeye, Queenie Le of Tether, Will Ross of Dragon Capital, and Ran Yi, Co-Founder of Orderly, alongside representatives from Ledger, Bybit, The Spartan Group, Cactus Custody, 1inch, IDRX, and RMIT, among others.

Let’s take a closer look at some of the conference’s top speakers.

Alice Truong, Vice President & Head of Digital Assets APAC, Nuvei

Sitting at the nexus of institutional payments and crypto infrastructure, Alice Truong leads Nuvei’s digital asset strategy and partnerships across Asia-Pacific, working with exchanges, financial institutions, PSPs, and regulators to enable compliant crypto payments, stablecoin settlement, and cross-border transactions. Nuvei received its MiCAR Crypto-Asset Service Provider license under the EU’s new harmonized regulatory framework in December 2025, and was an early pilot for Visa’s stablecoin merchant settlement program. In June 2026, Nuvei announced a definitive agreement to acquire Payoneer for $2.75 billion — widening its cross-border footprint.

Jeremy Ng, Founder & CEO, OpenEden

A former Goldman Sachs executive, Jeremy Ng co-founded OpenEden to bridge regulated traditional finance and decentralized markets through tokenized real-world assets. His flagship TBILL tokenized U.S. Treasury fund has grown more than 1,000x since its 2023 launch, surpassing $260 million in assets under management as of September 2025, and is the first such product to carry dual investment-grade ratings from both S&P Global (AA+) and Moody’s. In August 2025, BNY was appointed as investment manager and custodian — a landmark TradFi endorsement of on-chain fixed income. Backed by Ripple and Anchorage Digital, Ng has since scaled OpenEden’s total value locked to $531 million across TBILL and USDO, a regulated yield-bearing stablecoin backed by tokenized Treasuries.

Ben El-Baz, Managing Director & Head of International Markets, HashKey Group

A founding member of HashKey Group, Ben El-Baz has served as Head of Global Licensing and managing director of the firm’s licensed global exchanges, spearheading strategic initiatives in licensing, partnerships, and blockchain applications. El-Baz was instrumental in steering HashKey into key regulated markets including Bermuda, the EU, and Dubai within a single year, positioning HashKey as a full-spectrum ecosystem spanning exchange, custody, asset management, and venture capital. In March 2026, he led the launch of HashKey Pro, an institutional omnibus trading platform for banks, brokers, and asset managers in the UAE.

Queenie Le, Regional Expansion Lead APAC, Tether

Few missions in crypto are as consequential as Tether’s in Southeast Asia. As APAC expansion lead, Queenie Le is a passionate advocate for financial inclusion, dedicated to expanding Tether’s presence across emerging markets and driving stablecoin adoption through partnerships and community empowerment. USDT holds a $184 billion market cap in 2026 — more than double its nearest competitor — making it the de facto digital dollar for much of the region. Le has been central to the GOE Alliance — a coalition of Tether, Ava Labs, Sky Mavis, Republic, and Onchain Academy — launched to build stablecoin infrastructure across Vietnam following the country’s formal recognition of digital assets as property. She is a regular headliner at Southeast Asia’s most prominent Web3 conferences, putting real-world utility before theory.

Alex Toh, Executive Director, Fintech Investments, SC Ventures

Standard Chartered’s innovation and venture arm is one of the most consequential TradFi entrants in the blockchain space — and Alex Toh has been part of it since 2018. With prior roles as Director of Startup Investments at Telenor and Manager of Innovation at MetLife’s LumenLab, he brings a calibrated institutional lens to fintech bets that most crypto-native investors cannot replicate. In 2026, SC Ventures launched a dedicated $250 million digital asset fund backed by Middle East investors, focused on digital assets in the financial services sector. Its most recent investment landed in Digital Asset — a tokenization infrastructure firm — in July 2026. For a conference heavy on crypto-native founders, Toh is the clearest signal that established banking capital has made its decision.

Beyond The Headline Speakers: More Voices Shaping the Agenda

Among other speakers is Leonard Hoh, President of Bitstamp by Robinhood — whose presence signals just how far traditional retail brokerage has moved into institutional crypto infrastructure — alongside Rania Rahardja, APAC Director at Ondo Finance, one of the leading forces in real-world asset tokenization and on-chain yield products. Also joining the stage is Ran Yi, Co-Founder of Orderly, building the decentralized order book infrastructure that underpins liquidity across the DeFi ecosystem.

Attendees will hear from Will Ross, Chief Marketing & Distribution Officer at Dragon Capital, Vietnam’s largest independent asset manager, and Takatoshi Shibayama, Head of APAC at Ledger Enterprise, a key figure in hardware security and institutional self-custody infrastructure. Rounding out this group is Ivan Postavskyy, Tokenization & Investment Operations Manager at Centrifuge, whose work sits at the operational frontier of bringing real-world credit assets onto public blockchains.

The stablecoin track gains further depth with Nathanael Christian, Co-Founder & CEO of IDRX, the Indonesian rupiah-backed stablecoin issuer working to localize compliant digital currency infrastructure across Southeast Asia, and Carney Mak, Partner at FXHB Asset Management, bringing a traditional asset management perspective to the post-stablecoin payments landscape. Harry Bui, Analyst at The Spartan Group, adds institutional research rigor to the conversation.

The conference will also feature Jeffrey Tchui, Executive Director & Head of APAC at Hashgraph, driving enterprise blockchain adoption across the region; Tom Ngo, CEO of Metis; Edwin Lau, BD Southeast Asia Lead at Monad; and Daniel Lee, CEO of Cactus Custody. On the venture and advisory side, Laura Nguyen, Partner at GenAI Fund, and Catarina Quynh, Vietnam Lead at Republic Advisory, will speak to the convergence of AI investment and market entry strategy in Vietnam specifically.

That’s not all — expect even more founders, investors, developers, and industry pioneers to join for an unforgettable day of insights and networking.
