The move follows a strong Q2 2026 earnings report. Revenue came in at $3.61 billion, up 16.3% year over year and slightly ahead of the $3.58 billion analyst estimate. EPS of $1.37 beat the consensus of $1.26 by $0.11.

Adjusted EBITDA also came in ahead of expectations, beating estimates by 2.7%. The company’s Q3 2026 revenue guidance of $4.73 billion at the midpoint topped Street expectations by the same margin.

Gross profit margin sits at 82.9%, a number that has caught the attention of several analysts. The company also carries a relatively modest debt-to-equity ratio of 0.32.

Analyst Upgrades and Price Target Hikes

Wedbush was among the most bullish, upgrading ABNB from Neutral to Outperform and lifting its price target to $200. The firm pointed to improvements in the core platform and strong earnings as key drivers.

Susquehanna raised its price target from $170 to $200, giving the stock a “positive” rating. Jefferies moved its target from $160 to $175 with a “buy” rating. Raymond James upgraded from market perform to strong buy back in May.

UBS raised its target to $172 while keeping a Neutral rating, citing product innovation and accelerated nights growth. Bernstein held its Outperform rating with a $168 target.

Not everyone is on board. Phillip Securities downgraded ABNB to Reduce, citing premium valuation concerns even as it lifted its own target to $158. Truist kept a “hold” rating with a $134 price target.

The consensus across 39 analysts sits at “Moderate Buy” with an average target price of $172.

Insider Selling Draws Attention

Despite the bullish analyst backdrop, insider activity tells a different story. Over the past 90 days, insiders sold more than 3.1 million shares worth approximately $459 million.

CEO Brian Chesky sold 20,000 shares on August 7 at an average price of $173.61, totaling $3.47 million. That sale reduced his direct holdings by 77.36%.

Insider Nathan Blecharczyk sold 531,000 shares on the same date at an average of $174.41, a transaction valued at over $92.6 million. That reduced his position by 75.60%.

Institutional investors, by contrast, have been buying. HS Management Partners acquired a new position of 67,186 shares worth around $9.6 million in Q2. Institutional ownership now stands at 80.76% of the total float.

Analysts project full-year EPS of $5.22 for the current fiscal year. The stock’s 50-day moving average sits at $150.83, with the 200-day at $138.38.
