TL;DR:
On August 21, crypto exchange Binance will remove 8 USDC margin pairs across its Cross Margin and Isolated Margin modalities, as confirmed by the company in its latest official announcement.
The measure affects the Cross Margin pairs composed of AUCTION/USDC, BEAMX/USDC, CETUS/USDC, HUMA/USDC, LAYER/USDC, NXPC/USDC, UMA/USDC, and VELODROME/USDC. In Isolated Margin, the delisting will specifically apply to the listings of HUMA/USDC, LAYER/USDC, and NXPC/USDC.
According to the company’s report, manual or automatic transfers of funds into isolated margin accounts for the involved assets have been disabled with immediate effect.
The delisting process includes a phased rollout to mitigate risks on active positions. Official information from Binance details that Isolated Margin borrowing services for HUMA/USDC, LAYER/USDC, and NXPC/USDC will formally cease on August 18 at 06:00 UTC.

On August 21 at 06:00 UTC, the system will automatically close open positions, execute account settlements, and cancel pending orders on all designated pairs. Once this phase is complete, the pairs will be delisted from the Binance Margin interface.
Technical reports from the exchange indicate that the settlement window could extend for up to three consecutive hours. During this period, users will not be able to manually update or modify their open orders in these markets.
Binance management advised traders to close their positions and transfer their remaining assets to their respective Spot wallets before the August 21 cutoff to avoid forced liquidations.
Periodic adjustments in order books are typically a response to internal reviews of liquidity and trading volume. Market data suggests these measures aim to optimize order book depth and concentrate capital into pairs with higher institutional and retail demand.
The removal of these leveraged pairs does not alter the availability of the tokens in regular Spot market operations. According to platform specifications, users will be able to continue trading these assets via their existing pairs against USDT, BTC, or other available stablecoins.
In parallel, the platform will carry out scheduled wallet maintenance for the BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) network on August 20 at 06:00 UTC.
To facilitate this infrastructure upgrade, deposits and withdrawals on BNB Smart Chain will be temporarily suspended starting at 05:55 UTC on August 20. The company confirmed that the technical interruption will take approximately sixty minutes and that token trading within the network will not experience any disruption during the procedure.
