Bitcoin moved back above $65,000 on Monday as easing tensions between the United States and Iran pushed oil prices lower. Technology stocks also prepared for a critical earnings week, while investors awaited the Federal Reserve’s next policy decision.
Bitcoin traded near $65,062, gaining roughly 1% during the session after moving between $64,359 and $65,598. Ether outperformed Bitcoin as lower energy prices encouraged investors to return to risk-sensitive assets.

However, institutional flows weakened before the weekend. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately $212.2 million in net outflows on July 24, following seven consecutive positive sessions.
Dow futures gained about 0.85%, S&P 500 futures advanced 0.87%, and Nasdaq 100 futures rose approximately 1.49% in Monday’s premarket session. The moves followed a temporary pause in U.S.-Iran hostilities.
Brent crude dropped about 6.3% to $90.60 per barrel, supporting airline, cruise and other fuel-sensitive stocks. Energy companies declined as investors adjusted to the lower oil-price outlook.
Microsoft, Amazon, Meta and Apple are scheduled to release earnings this week. Investors will focus heavily on artificial-intelligence infrastructure spending, cloud growth and whether rising capital expenditure is producing adequate revenue and profits.
Technology valuations have recently come under pressure because companies are borrowing and spending heavily to expand data centres, chips and computing capacity. Alphabet’s increased AI expenditure already contributed to renewed caution around the sector.
Samsung Electronics and SK Group recently announced major agreements connected to AI infrastructure and computing demand. South Korean chipmakers are also expected to disclose long-term memory-chip supply deals with leading U.S. technology companies.
The agreements reflect rising demand for memory, storage and data-centre equipment as technology companies expand AI capacity. They could also strengthen competition among Samsung, SK Hynix, Nvidia, AMD and other major chip suppliers.
Investors are preparing for the Federal Reserve’s policy meeting alongside new U.S. inflation and gross domestic product data. The releases could determine whether policymakers continue holding rates steady or signal tighter monetary policy later in 2026.
Lower oil prices have temporarily reduced inflation concerns. However, Treasury yields, geopolitical risks and the scale of AI-related corporate spending remain major sources of uncertainty for stocks, cryptocurrencies and the global economy.
Bitcoin’s ability to remain above $65,000 will be important for short-term crypto sentiment. Markets will also track fresh Bitcoin ETF flows, Big Tech earnings, the Federal Reserve’s decision, and any changes in U.S.-Iran relations.
