Bitget Capitalizes on the Convergence Between Crypto and Traditional Finance

The launch aims to capitalize on the growth of the listed options market, which in 2025 processed more than 15.2 billion contracts in the United States, with an average of approximately 60 million contracts per trading day. Bitget argued that this expansion reflects broad use of options by retail and institutional clients for directional trading, hedging, and capital management.

Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, noted that the launch responds to a deliberate convergence strategy. “From tokenized stocks to options, we are executing that convergence. Our products are well ahead of their time, offering access to advanced trading in stocks, gold, cryptocurrencies, and assets from around the world,” she stated.

Bitget is not the only exchange expanding its catalog with traditional financial instruments. Coinbase announced that its latest system update would incorporate stock and crypto asset options trading capabilities, as well as thematic equity indices and pre-IPO perpetual contracts. Meanwhile, Binance added more than 7,000 U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds for users outside the United States.
