TL;DR
Grayscale, the world’s largest digital asset investment platform, announced the launch of its Model Portfolios, a suite of four model portfolios designed to allow financial advisors to offer exposure to digital assets without needing to build and manage individual positions.
According to the company, the initiative responds to growing demand among advisors seeking to incorporate digital assets into their clients’ portfolios within a familiar and operationally efficient framework. “Model Portfolios are designed to meet that need, combining our portfolio construction expertise with more than a decade in digital assets,” said Laurie Katz, Global Head of Distribution at the firm.

Each portfolio integrates multiple exchange traded products (ETPs) of digital assets under a unified methodology that includes asset selection, market capitalization weighting, diversification, and quarterly rebalancing with a 40% cap per asset. The four strategies are Digital Assets Core Plus, Digital Assets Leaders, Digital Assets Next Gen, and Digital Assets Infrastructure.
Digital Assets Core Plus targets a foundational allocation with exposure to Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and Chainlink. Digital Assets Leaders replicates the performance of the five largest eligible assets in individual ETPs from Grayscale, adjusting as market leadership shifts.
Digital Assets Next Gen excludes Bitcoin and broadens exposure toward established and emerging assets, with up to ten positions. Digital Assets Infrastructure, meanwhile, focuses on protocols that underpin smart contracts, tokenization, and other foundational applications.
Distribution will be handled by Grayscale Advisors, LLC, which will deliver the models directly to financial platforms so that advisors can implement them in client accounts. In all cases, advisors retain full discretion over how allocations are applied, allowing them to manage exposure alongside the rest of the client’s portfolio within an integrated framework.
