Hyperscale Data (GPUS) stock rose 5.50% to $0.1208 after recovering from an intraday decline. The gain followed plans to sell Bitcoin and fund its Michigan AI data center campus. The move connects treasury capital with a long-term infrastructure project and contracted computing demand.
Hyperscale Data sold about 100 Bitcoin and directed the proceeds toward its Michigan campus development. The company did not disclose the sale date or the final transaction price. However, Thursday’s Bitcoin price of $64,823 valued the transaction near $6.48 million.
The company recently reported Bitcoin holdings worth about $71 million after continued mining and treasury accumulation. Management now plans to balance Bitcoin ownership with spending on high-return infrastructure projects. Therefore, Hyperscale Data will retain meaningful Bitcoin exposure while financing construction and equipment purchases.
The sale supports equipment purchases, site development, and other long-lead infrastructure needs. These investments will support an existing agreement with a leading neo-cloud infrastructure provider. As a result, the company expects faster development across the Michigan site and its planned computing capacity.
The initial services agreement covers about 20 megawatts of critical compute capacity at the Michigan campus. The contract runs for ten years and includes two optional five-year extensions. If fully extended, the agreement could generate more than $1.2 billion in total revenue.
The customer also holds rights to request another 32 megawatts of capacity. That option must be exercised within the first two contract years. If maintained through all extensions, total contract revenue could exceed $3 billion over the maximum term.
Management views the campus as a major long-term capital project and a future recurring revenue source. The company expects the site to produce recurring cash flows from infrastructure services. The Bitcoin sale gives the project immediate funding without additional equity issuance.
Hyperscale Data also established a Bitcoin-backed credit facility for additional project funding. The facility carries expected variable interest rates between 4.5% and 5.0%. The company can pledge remaining Bitcoin holdings as security for future loans and construction financing.
This structure gives Hyperscale Data access to non-equity capital at relatively low expected rates. It also reduces reliance on short-term share sales or expensive debt financing. Consequently, the company can limit dilution while keeping substantial Bitcoin ownership on its balance sheet.
The strategy follows similar treasury changes among publicly traded Bitcoin companies funding infrastructure growth. MARA Holdings sold 15,133 Bitcoin in March for about $1.1 billion. Hyperscale Data will continue balancing Bitcoin holdings, secured borrowing, and infrastructure spending as the campus develops
