TL;DR
Bitcoin’s market momentum accelerated on Monday as fresh capital poured into the Bitcoin ETF ecosystem and BTC briefly pushed past the $80,000 threshold. The combination of renewed inflows, improving sentiment, and a sharp weekly price advance has strengthened the case for a broader trend shift, even as analysts remain cautious about calling a full bull cycle.
The latest surge saw Bitcoin ETFs record $337.6 million in net inflows, marking their sixth straight day of gains and lifting their cumulative streak to $2.26 billion. The sustained appetite has reduced year‑to‑date outflows to about $2.57 billion, according to SoSoValue. Since launch, cumulative net inflows have climbed to $54 billion, with total net assets now at $98.56 billion.
Bitcoin traded near $79,300 at the time of writing, up almost 1% over the past 24 hours, while the Crypto Fear & Greed Index held at 74, its highest reading since October 2025. The broader market also saw activity across other products, with spot Ether ETFs adding $115.6 million and spot XRP ETFs bringing in $13.8 million.

Bitcoin briefly touched $81,000 before settling below the $80,000 resistance level. The move followed last week’s U.S. Treasury buyback announcement, which helped push sentiment into “Extreme Greed” at 83. Still, several analysts described the rally as a catch‑up move rather than the start of a new bull phase.
Min Jung of Presto Research noted that Bitcoin ETF inflows and the break above $80,000 reflect overdue momentum after BTC lagged other risk assets. Others pointed to tight liquidity, sticky inflation, and geopolitical uncertainty as ongoing risks.
Despite caution, Bitcoin’s more than $16,000 weekly jump delivered one of its largest green candles in history. Analysts highlighted that the combination of strong spot flows and a bullish engulfing pattern across multiple timeframes suggests a meaningful shift in market structure.
Altcoins followed suit, with Ether up 32%, XRP up 53%, and Solana up 34%. Justin d’Anethan of Arctic Digital said the recent strength hints at a transition from slow accumulation to a more decisive upward market, supported in part by persistent Bitcoin ETF inflows.
