Injective (INJ) has seen a pickup in price and market activity over the past week. The token climbed 4.22% in 24 hours and is holding above key short-term moving averages, with several on-chain and derivatives metrics supporting the improving picture.

INJ is currently trading around $5.09, with a market cap of approximately $509.92 million. The 24-hour trading volume stands at $56.91 million.
Looking at the chart, INJ dropped from near $7.00 in June to a low of around $3.95 in mid-August. Since then, it has recovered toward $6.00 before pulling back slightly. It is now sitting just above the 20-day moving average at $5.03.
The Bollinger Bands show resistance at $5.77 and support at $4.29. The MACD histogram is slightly negative at -0.02674, suggesting the short-term bullish momentum has paused but not reversed.
Coinglass data shows INJ trading volume surged 44.18% to $138.55 million. Open interest rose 4.88% to $97.84 million, pointing to more trader participation and fresh capital entering derivative markets.
The rise in open interest alongside the price increase is often read as a sign that the move has backing rather than being purely speculative.
INJ staking reached an all-time high, with more than 58.8 million tokens now locked on-chain, as reported by Cointelegraph on September 7. Staking removes tokens from circulating supply, which can improve supply-demand dynamics over time.

The mid-term outlook carries a 61% confidence rating for a positive trend. If INJ holds the $5.30 support level, analysts project a recovery toward $6.80. The long-term outlook, rated 64% confidence, sees $8.00 as a target if $4.30 holds as a floor.
The Injective network also completed its September Community Buyback, burning 25,200 INJ tokens. This is part of the network’s ongoing tokenomics policy to reduce circulating supply.

Crypto analyst “chief of overthinking” posted on X that INJ is testing a long-term support zone that previously preceded moves toward $25 and then $45. They noted a breakout could open the path to the $80–$90 range, though they were clear this depends on buyers defending current support levels.
Analyst The Moon Show added on X that INJ’s higher-timeframe structure gives it “room to do something most people are not positioned for,” stopping short of calling a direct move to $100.
I’m not saying $INJ goes straight to $100.
I’m saying the higher-timeframe structure gives it room to do something most people are not positioned for.
