Kraken Adds Bittensor Subnet Tokens to Its Roadmap With Seven New Listings

03-Jul-2026 Crypto Economy

TL;DR:

  • Kraken completed the native dTAO integration from Bittensor and will begin listing subnet tokens in the short term.
  • The first additions to the roadmap include Chutes, Hippius, Lium, Score, Targon, Ridges AI, and Vanta.
  • Each subnet token represents a stake in the economy of a specific subnetwork and can be staked with validators.

Kraken completed the native integration of Bittensor‘s dTAO model and announced it will begin listing subnet tokens in the short term. The first confirmed additions to the roadmap are Chutes, Hippius, Lium, Score, Targon, Ridges AI, and Vanta.

Bittensor is a decentralized protocol that coordinates and rewards the production of artificial intelligence. Unlike the traditional model in which a single company trains a large AI model in a closed environment, Bittensor operates as an open network where independent participants compete to deliver results: text generation, data scraping, price prediction, or protein folding, among others. Contributors receive TAO based on the utility that other participants assign to their work.

BITTENSOR TAO POST

Ecosystems Within Bittensor

dTAO, short for dynamic TAO, is the model that grants each Bittensor subnetwork its own token. The network is composed of independent subnets, each operating as its own market for a specific category of digital commodity, such as artificial intelligence, model training, data, or computing. Under this scheme, each subnet issues its own token, and TAO remains the base asset of the network and the unit through which value flows between subnets.

Why Staking Is Central to This Model

Staking occupies a central place in the functioning of the dTAO system. Subnet tokens are not designed solely to be bought or sold: within the protocol, they can be staked with the validators that secure each subnetwork, and those who stake participate in the emissions generated by that subnet’s activity.

Kraken post

Each subnet token represents a direct stake in the economy of a specific subnetwork. This allows holders to engage with an individual subnet and its own emissions market, rather than gaining generic exposure to the Bittensor network as a whole.

Kraken‘s integration with dTAO positions the exchange favorably within a market that combines decentralized artificial intelligence infrastructure with incentive mechanics native to proof-of-stake protocols. The effective listing of the announced tokens has no confirmed date at this time.
