Meta stock climbed 7% on Wednesday afternoon to around $653 per share, its highest level in two months. The move followed the launch of Muse, Meta’s autonomous personal AI assistant, on Tuesday.
Muse was launched through Meta Superintelligence Labs and is powered by the Muse Spark 1.3 foundation model. The tool is designed to carry out real-world tasks including opening apps, filling out forms, booking travel, and sending emails.
Morgan Stanley analyst Brian Nowak called the launch a key step into what he sees as a $30 trillion consumer AI agent market. He maintained his Buy rating and kept his price target at $775, implying about 19% upside from current levels.
Nowak ranks #1,685 among the more than 12,000 Wall Street analysts tracked on TipRanks, placing him in the top 14%. He carries a 57% success rate and has delivered an average return of 5.60% per rating.
He pointed to Meta’s family of apps, including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, as giving the company an edge in deploying AI agent products. With over 3 billion daily active users across its platforms, Meta has scale few others can match.
TD Cowen analyst John Blackledge also maintained his Buy rating on the stock, holding his price target steady at $750. That implies around 15% upside.
Blackledge was straightforward in his note: he does not expect a short-term revenue boost from Muse. He does believe, however, that the product could become a meaningful revenue stream over time.
Wall Street broadly agrees the stock is worth owning. Based on 37 Buy ratings and six Holds issued over the past three months, META carries a Strong Buy consensus. The average price target sits at $753.08.
The rally also caught the attention of ARK Invest. Cathie Wood’s firm bought 43,091 META shares worth around $27.9M across the ARK Innovation ETF and ARK Next Generation Internet ETF on Wednesday.
At the same time, ARK sold 84,392 Alphabet (GOOGL) shares valued at roughly $27.8M through the same funds. It was a clear rotation out of one mega-cap tech name and into another.
The Muse launch was not the only catalyst. Meta also acquired Swedish AI company Stilla.ai, a move expected to support its push into AI-powered business agents.
The average analyst price target of $753.08 represents about 15% upside from Wednesday’s trading levels.
