TL;DR
OpenYield, the automated bond marketplace, joined Pyth Network as a data publisher, integrating firm, real-time pricing on U.S. Treasury bonds derived from its order book. Access to that information is provided through Pyth Pro, with plans to expand into the corporate and municipal debt markets that the platform also covers.
The partnership addresses a structural problem that has historically characterized the fixed income market: expensive, fragmented, and hard-to-obtain data, mostly indicative or modeled from related instruments, with no real execution commitment behind it.
OpenYield operates a different model, built around firm, executable quotes, an order book, and a modern technological architecture. As an SEC-registered Alternative Trading System, it offers prices at which a client is actually willing to trade, setting them apart from the merely referential prices that dominate much of the market.
OpenYield is now on Pyth.

OpenYield’s coverage spans the full U.S. Treasury curve, thousands of corporate bonds, and tens of thousands of municipal bonds. Its addition to Pyth extends the network into one of the largest segments of international finance, which until now had resisted the shift toward the electronic and automated trading that already characterizes other asset classes.

Jonathan Birnbaum, founder and CEO of OpenYield, believes this will put an end to a longstanding difficulty: “Bond data has always lagged equities: expensive, fragmented, hard to reach”, and noted that the integration makes it possible to deliver real-time data on Treasuries, corporates, and municipals to a global base of applications and institutions.
Mike Cahill, CEO of Douro Labs and contributor to Pyth Network, highlighted that bringing firm, executable fixed income pricing to the same network that already distributes equities, futures, foreign exchange, crypto assets, and commodities data is a key structural step toward a modern, unified market data standard.
