Palantir Technologies (PLTR) and Nebius Group (NBIS) have announced a strategic partnership that will bring Nebius’s AI-native compute infrastructure into the Palantir ecosystem.
Nebius stock was up 1.6% in premarket trading following the announcement on September 8, 2026.
Under the deal, Palantir has named Nebius its preferred sovereign AI infrastructure partner. Following an integration period, Nebius compute and inference endpoints will be brought inside the Palantir enterprise perimeter.
That means eligible Palantir customers will be able to access Nebius’s cloud and inference infrastructure directly, giving them control over their compute, data, and models without moving sensitive workloads out of the Palantir environment.
Alex Karp, co-founder and CEO of Palantir, said: “Nebius’ compute infrastructure powers your ability to run your own AI models under conditions you control. Our ontology and their infrastructure will undergird the sovereignty our partners are demanding.”
Arkady Volozh, founder and CEO of Nebius, added: “Organizations need both the performance of large-scale AI infrastructure and control over their data and models. Together with Palantir, we are bringing this to commercial clients enabling them to run their optimized open models on trusted infrastructure.”
Palantir provides the software layer. Nebius supplies the computing infrastructure underneath it. The partnership stacks those two layers together for enterprise clients.
The companies also plan to work together to accelerate how quickly new compute capacity can come online to serve Palantir customers.
That includes modular data-center deployments at sites where power is already available, a practical step that could reduce lead times for getting new AI capacity into the hands of clients.
For Nebius, the deal opens another channel to monetize its growing GPU infrastructure through Palantir’s enterprise customer base.
Sovereign AI refers to the ability of governments and regulated organizations to run AI workloads under strict geographic and security controls, keeping sensitive data within defined boundaries.
Palantir has built much of its business around exactly that type of client. Adding Nebius infrastructure to the mix gives those clients more computing power without loosening those controls.
The partnership is structured so Palantir does not need to push clients off its platform to access Nebius capacity. The infrastructure comes to them.
Both companies described the deal as a move to meet growing demand from commercial clients who want secure, high-performance AI without giving up control of their data.
Nebius was up 1.6% premarket on the day of the announcement.
