Robinhood Markets (HOOD) struck a multiyear deal with Crypto.com to bring the exchange’s yes-or-no event contracts onto its trading platform. HOOD stock jumped around 3.40% to roughly $126.40 in premarket trading on the news.
Under the agreement, Robinhood will also take minority stakes in Crypto.com and its stand-alone prediction-markets unit, OG. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Crypto.com spun OG out as a separate company alongside this announcement. OG has grown about 20 times this year, according to Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek.
Citadel Securities bought stakes in both Crypto.com and OG back in July, valuing the exchange at $15 billion and OG at $5 billion.

Robinhood has been building out its prediction-markets business for a while. It started with Kalshi, the dominant U.S. platform, and then launched Rothera, its own derivatives exchange, in partnership with Susquehanna International Group.
The Crypto.com deal is the latest step in that expansion. Robinhood VP JB Mackenzie said it will allow the platform to offer better pricing and a wider range of contracts.
Mackenzie noted that the deal arrives at a key moment. Football season is kicking off and midterm elections are on the horizon, two periods that typically drive heavy traffic to event-contract platforms.
“It’s something our customers want to trade,” Mackenzie said.
Marszalek described the deal as the start of a broader relationship. Beyond event contracts, the two companies are in talks about equity-linked perpetual futures, though those would need regulatory approval first.
Crypto.com launched its prediction-markets arm in late 2024 before spinning OG out as a stand-alone platform in February this year. A previous partnership with President Trump’s Truth Social media platform to offer prediction markets was terminated last month, with both sides citing market conditions and shifting business priorities.
Crypto.com is also preparing for an initial public offering, though no timeline has been set. Marszalek said the company is looking at acquisitions to help fuel growth alongside the IPO preparation.
Marszalek said the Robinhood partnership will pull more traders and institutions onto the OG platform. “This is just a very natural market structure that institutions want to trade against the retail flow,” he said.
Prediction markets have become one of the fastest-growing areas for retail traders, drawing heavy competition among providers. Robinhood now has multiple partners in the space, with the Crypto.com deal adding another layer to that strategy.
HOOD stock was trading around $126.40 in premarket hours, up approximately 3.40% on the session.
