Salesforce (CRM) stock moved sharply higher after the company reported fiscal second-quarter 2027 results and raised its full-year outlook. Investors also reacted to a new artificial intelligence partnership announced on August 27, 2026. The results showed stronger revenue, profit, and adjusted earnings, while management gave higher forecasts for the rest of the year.
Salesforce reported quarterly revenue of $11.35 billion for the period ended July 31, 2026. Revenue rose from $10.24 billion a year earlier, representing growth of about 10.8% year over year. The company also posted strong profit growth as operating performance improved.
Adjusted earnings per share reached $5.90, above analyst expectations near $3.27. Adjusted operating income came in at $3.87 billion, while the adjusted operating margin reached 34.1%. These figures showed that Salesforce continued to expand margins while growing sales across its main cloud and software businesses.
Salesforce stock surged after the results. Shares gained more than 20% on August 27, with market reports placing the closing price near $252.05. The move ranked among the strongest single-day gains in the company’s trading history and helped lift broader US market indexes.
Salesforce raised its fiscal 2027 revenue forecast to between $46.1 billion and $46.4 billion. The previous range stood at $45.9 billion to $46.2 billion. The new forecast points to expected annual growth of about 11% to 12%.
Management kept its full-year non-GAAP operating margin target near 34.3%. Salesforce also forecast fiscal third-quarter revenue between $11.42 billion and $11.50 billion. Adjusted earnings per share for the quarter are expected to range from $3.42 to $3.44.
The company expects current remaining performance obligations to grow by about 14% in constant currency. The outlook reflects demand across Salesforce products, including Agentforce, Data 360, and Slack. Pending acquisitions are also expected to contribute to future revenue.
Salesforce also drew attention after expanding its artificial intelligence relationship with Anthropic. The partnership connects Claude with Salesforce products and adds another AI element to the company’s growth strategy. Salesforce also holds an investment stake in Anthropic.
AI-related products have become a larger part of the Salesforce stock story as investors track demand and revenue growth. Market reports linked part of the post-earnings rally to stronger AI activity and gains tied to strategic investments.
Across the first six months of fiscal 2027, Salesforce generated $22.5 billion in revenue, up from $20.1 billion a year earlier. Operating income reached $4.7 billion compared with $4.3 billion in the prior-year period.
The stronger first-half performance, higher guidance, and AI expansion have kept Salesforce stock in focus. Investors will now watch third-quarter revenue, margins, AI product growth, and acquisition progress as the company moves through fiscal 2027.
