The collaboration combines Silvaco’s physics-based modeling software with NVIDIA’s CUDA-X libraries, PhysicsNeMo, Omniverse libraries, and Nemotron open models.

The goal is to build virtual replicas of semiconductor systems that can predict and optimize real-world behavior before physical manufacturing begins.

Silvaco plans to use NVIDIA’s accelerated computing to speed up its semiconductor device, process, photonics, and multiphysics simulation tools.

As an early proof of concept, Silvaco ran a fully scaled 3D FDTD simulation of a photonic edge coupler with 3.2 billion mesh nodes on 32 NVIDIA GPUs connected via NVLink. The job finished in under four hours.

The same workload failed to converge on CPUs. The simulation also achieved less than 0.15 dB difference between measurement and simulation output — a strong accuracy result.

The partnership covers four focus areas: GPU-accelerated physics simulation, AI-driven surrogate modeling, digital twin visualization through NVIDIA Omniverse and Cosmos, and scaled engineering workflows.

Weeks to Days

Silvaco expects the deal to reduce simulation cycles from weeks to days. The company also anticipates improved accuracy and better collaboration through cloud-based visualization tools.

“By combining Silvaco’s deep expertise in semiconductor and multiphysics digital twins with NVIDIA’s industry-leading computing and AI platforms, we can help customers model increasingly complex systems with greater speed, fidelity, and confidence,” said CEO Walden C. Rhines.

Target applications include semiconductor process and device simulation, AI-assisted chip development, and factory optimization.

Financials and Insider Activity

Silvaco carries a market cap of approximately $260 million. Its forward P/E ratio sits at 133.79, which reflects high growth expectations baked into the current price.

The company’s GF Score from GuruFocus stands at 37 out of 100. That score reflects weak profitability and valuation ratings, despite a financial strength rating of 8/10 and a growth rating of 9/10.

One area of caution: insiders have sold $2.4 million worth of stock in the past three months, with no insider buying reported during the same period.

SVCO was trading at $8.26 in premarket, up from a prior close of $7.76.
