Strive, Inc. (ASST) shares climbed 4.30% to $12.37 after the company disclosed another Bitcoin purchase. The latest acquisition increased its corporate treasury to 19,921 BTC, valued at nearly $1.3 billion. Meanwhile, the update reinforced Strive’s position among the world’s largest public corporate Bitcoin holders.
Strive acquired 21 Bitcoin between July 13 and July 17 for about $1.3 million. Moreover, the company paid an average price of approximately $63,221 for each Bitcoin. The transaction appeared in an 8-K filing submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The purchase increased Strive’s holdings from 19,900 BTC to 19,921 BTC. Consequently, the treasury reached an estimated market value approaching $1.3 billion. The latest addition also kept the company ranked as the seventh-largest corporate Bitcoin holder.
Cash and cash equivalents also improved during the reporting period. They increased to $157.4 million from $154.1 million recorded one week earlier. The company funded the Bitcoin purchase while strengthening its cash position.
Strive continued issuing Class A shares through its at-the-market program during the reporting period. Accordingly, outstanding Class A shares increased by 443,797 to 73,869,961. Class B shares declined slightly to 9,800,012 from the previous week.
The company also maintained 7,829,502 shares of its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock, listed as SATA. Meanwhile, its holdings of Strategy’s Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock remained unchanged at 505,000 shares. However, the fair value of that investment declined by $1.1 million to $43.1 million.
The latest Bitcoin purchase represented a slower buying pace than earlier acquisitions. Even so, the company continued expanding its treasury despite moderating weekly additions. Furthermore, the average purchase price remained below levels recorded during much of its previous accumulation.
Strive became a public company through the merger of Strive Asset Management and Asset Entities. Subsequently, the company expanded its Bitcoin holdings through the all-stock acquisition of Semler Scientific. That transaction closed in January after shareholder approval and lifted combined holdings beyond 12,000 BTC.
Since completing the merger, Strive has continued building its Bitcoin treasury through equity financing. The company raises capital through preferred equity instead of relying on convertible debt. Therefore, management continues pursuing additional Bitcoin purchases while expanding corporate holdings.
Strive reported a $393 million loss during its first six months as a public company. The result reflected accounting treatment related to Bitcoin holdings and share issuance. Meanwhile, the company continues pursuing its broader plan to build a $4.2 billion capital base for future Bitcoin acquisitions.
Strategy, the largest corporate Bitcoin holder, reported no Bitcoin purchases or sales during the same reporting period. Therefore, its holdings remained unchanged at 843,775 BTC. Meanwhile, Strive continued increasing its treasury while advancing its long-term Bitcoin accumulation strategy.
