TL;DR:
Market analyst Sykodelic evaluated Bitcoin chart metrics this Friday, August 28, noting that the asset has completed roughly 80% of the technical requirements to validate its recent price bottom.
I think that the low is in.
For many reasons I have already shared.
But we do not yet have "confirmation".
So let me tell you where I think we are at and what is needed for the low to be "confirmed".

Over the past two weeks, Bitcoin’s price surpassed the initial $65,000 barrier, climbed to hit highs near $81,000 midweek, and pulled back temporarily before stabilizing below $79,000.
Sykodelic’s analysis points out that the market reclaimed the local structure of $67,000 and the higher timeframe level located at $74,400. Likewise, the price returned above the 200-day simple and exponential moving averages (SMA and EMA), while also recovering the 50-week EMA.
The analyst emphasized that the daily Relative Strength Index (RSI) crossed above 85 points. According to Sykodelic’s technical interpretation, this quantitative behavior typically does not manifest during temporary relief bounces within bear markets.

To complete the full confirmation of the trend reversal, the technical report outlines four specific conditions pending validation. These metrics correspond to a weekly close above the 50-period simple moving average (SMA) at $82,000, a weekly close above the Supertrend indicator line at $79,000, establishing a higher low above $82,700, and a monthly close above $76,463.
According to Sykodelic’s report, consolidating a close above the $82,700 threshold could invalidate the risk of further corrective pullbacks toward the $75,000 zone. Based on the source’s projections, a confirmed breakout above $82,000 would pave the way toward the $90,000 range.
On the blockchain side, Bollinger Bands applied to the short-term holder MVRV ratio entered overbought territory for the first time since November 2024. Historical data cited by the analyst suggests that similar readings aligned with the final stages of the bear market phases recorded in 2018 and 2022.
The derivatives landscape also showed operational shifts over the past week. Funding rates decreased despite the price rally, while open interest stabilized without excessive leverage buildup. Additionally, the Coinbase premium turned positive for the first time in three and a half months, accompanied by steady spot market volume.
The next milestone for the validation of these technical parameters will take place with the simultaneous close of the weekly and monthly candles at the end of August 2026.
