TL;DR
Wirex announced the launch of Stablecoin Push-to-Card, a new feature powered by Visa Direct and available through its Banking-as-a-Service APIs. The solution enables stablecoin-funded payouts to be delivered directly to cards worldwide.
The tool converts stablecoin balances into “paid to card” transfers within partners’ products. Integration is handled through Wirex BaaS APIs, eliminating the need to build local payment infrastructure in each country. This model removes the requirement to assemble multiple rails, integrations, and exception-handling systems market by market by centralizing the endpoint on the card.

The product’s coverage extends to more than 3 billion cards across over 200 countries and territories. In many cases, funds are available in under 30 seconds. Wirex’s system operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays. The process uses the 16-digit card number instead of details such as IBAN, SWIFT, or bank routing codes. It also offers exchange rates with reduced margins compared to traditional wire transfers.
Wirex is targeting businesses with distributed teams and international supplier networks. Use cases include contractor and freelancer payments, employee reimbursements, and supplier settlements.

The operational process consists of three steps: entering the recipient’s card number, selecting the amount and currency, and completing the transfer. Funds become available on the recipient’s card within seconds.
Wirex operates as a global payments platform for consumers and businesses. Since 2014, it has onboarded more than 7 million users and processed over $20 billion in transactions across 130 countries. The company is a principal member of Visa and Mastercard and provides card issuance, banking infrastructure APIs, and payment rails for digital platforms
