  • Whale transactions on the XRP Ledger surged 280% in 24 hours, reaching over 38 large transactions.
  • The SEC is considering bringing U.S. stocks on-chain for 24/7 trading, which could boost digital asset confidence.

  • XRP Ledger recorded 49,929 active addresses in 24 hours, a two-month high, despite negative market sentiment.

The $1 level has become a key battleground. Buyers have repeatedly defended the zone, but the broader trend remains bearish as long as XRP stays below $1.05.

Analyst Ali Charts posted on X that whale activity on the XRP Ledger has exploded over the past 24 hours. According to the post, the number of transactions exceeding $1 million surged 280%, climbing to more than 38 large transactions. This kind of large-wallet movement is being closely watched by traders as a potential signal of accumulation.

SEC Meeting Could Change the Digital Asset Landscape

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is reportedly planning to bring American stocks onto blockchain networks for 24/7 trading. SEC Chair Paul Atkins is expected to meet President Trump, CFTC Chair Michael Selig, and major financial firms including Ripple, Coinbase, Nasdaq, NYSE, CME Group, and DTCC.

Crypto account Crypto Rover shared this development on X, calling it a major step toward integrating traditional finance with digital asset infrastructure. DTCC’s involvement is seen as particularly relevant given its role clearing the majority of U.S. stock trades.

XRP ETFs and On-Chain Activity

Spot XRP ETFs in the U.S. recorded no new inflows on August 14. Combined inflows since launch stand at $1.51 billion, with net assets totaling $933.01 million. Daily trading volume hit $10.76 million, led by Bitwise at $6.95 million and Franklin Templeton at $2.23 million.

Despite this, all five listed ETF funds posted daily price declines exceeding 1%.

On-chain data from Santiment showed XRP Ledger activity hit 49,929 active addresses on August 14, its highest level in over two months. This came even as negative sentiment on social platforms reached a three-month extreme.

The RSI sits at around 37.86, with Stochastic RSI Fast near 14.25, suggesting momentum could be stretched to the downside. The MACD remains negative at roughly -0.025.

Traders are watching the $0.9766 support level closely. A hold there could open a path toward $1.04 and then $1.10. The next key catalyst is the Senate’s CLARITY Act cloture vote, scheduled for September 15.
