Gartner recognized Zscaler, Inc. as a Leader in the 2026 Magic Quadrant for SASE Platforms. The company also earned Leader status in the 2026 Magic Quadrant for Security Service Edge. This marks the fifth straight year Zscaler achieved SSE Leader recognition.
The SASE Platforms placement represents a first for Zscaler, Inc. (ZS) in that category. Gartner evaluates vendors based on completeness of vision and execution ability. Zscaler’s dual Leader status highlights its expanding footprint across cloud security markets.
Jay Chaudhry, CEO and Founder of Zscaler, called the recognition a reflection of the company’s architecture. He stated that legacy networks and virtual firewalls cannot deliver modern security on their own. Chaudhry added that Zscaler’s proxy-based design inspects all encrypted traffic at scale.
Zscaler, Inc. built its Zero Trust SASE platform on more than 15 years of security work. The platform secures users, cloud workloads, IoT devices and AI agents. It also protects branches, campuses and factories through one unified system.
The company introduced a new ZAgent Framework within its platform this year. This framework brings agentic AI capabilities to SASE management and daily operations. It aims to simplify workflows while securing every network communication automatically.
Zscaler currently protects 40% of the Forbes Global 2000 companies worldwide. Its unified approach eliminates gaps found in fragmented, legacy network setups. The company says this allows threats to be stopped before they spread laterally.
Shares of Zscaler, Inc. traded at $161.13 as of 12:16 PM EDT. The stock jumped sharply near the market open, moving above $154. Trading activity increased alongside the announcement of Gartner’s dual Leader placement.
SASE and SSE platforms remain central to enterprise cybersecurity spending trends. Zscaler’s Zero Trust model targets identity-based, policy-driven access across networks. The company continues positioning itself against fragmented, siloed security point products.
The Magic Quadrant reports come from Gartner analysts covering the SASE and SSE markets. Gartner does not endorse specific vendors within its published research findings. Zscaler, Inc. (ZS) points to the recognition as validation of its platform strategy.
