World’s first flagship industry event focused on Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN), DePIN Expo 2025, took place on August 27–28 at Cyberport in Hong Kong. The conference brought together leading projects, investment firms, and ecosystem partners from around the world to examine emerging trends, practical applications, and future opportunities within the DePIN sector. The discussions were comprehensive, and the event maintained a dynamic and engaging atmosphere.
BS KOL Club, a key partner of the conference, hosted an exhibition booth at the main venue, attracting a steady flow of visitors. Industry leaders from around the globe participated in active discussions on project collaboration, resource integration, and market expansion, highlighting BS’s role in ecosystem development and connectivity.
Following the daytime sessions, the “DeAI Social: Builders & KOL Mixer” took place on the evening of August 28th at Sugar+ in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. Organized by BS KOL Club in partnership with CGV, Web3Labs, and ISPAY, this official side event drew numerous project teams, investors, and prominent figures from the AI, DePIN, and Web3 communities. The event was well-attended and lively, reflecting strong industry interest and high expectations for the intersection of AI and DePIN.
The event opened with remarks from Kevin, Co-Founder of DePIN Expo 2025 and Partner at CGV Asia-Pacific, who provided an in-depth overview of the current DePIN landscape and emerging trends. He highlighted the potential for the integration of AI and DePIN to drive the next phase of infrastructure innovation, creating a foundation for broader adoption of Web3 applications.
Casper, Founder of Web3Labs, then outlined the company’s latest strategic initiatives and acceleration plans in Hong Kong and internationally, emphasizing the city’s role as a key financial and innovation hub for the development of the Web3 sector.
Following this, Jack Kong, Founder of Nano Labs and Director of Hong Kong Cyberport, discussed Hong Kong’s growing role as a bridge between global Web3 innovation and real-world applications. He noted that Cyberport would continue to provide resources and support for startups and entrepreneurial teams, fostering the practical adoption and integration of AI, DePIN, and Web3 technologies.
Mandy, Co-Founder of BS KOL Club, delivered a keynote presenting an overview of the organization’s business operations and ecosystem structure. She highlighted BS’s capabilities in resource integration and its extensive KOL network as tools for connecting projects and ecosystem partners, supporting the expansion of innovative ventures into wider markets.
The session concluded with a presentation by Zichong, Marketing Director of Cudis, introducing the world’s first AI-powered smart ring. The event included two dedicated panel sessions, one conducted in English and the other in Chinese, each addressing key topics from distinct perspectives. The English panel, titled “AI-Driven RWA and Web3 Innovation,” was moderated by Senior Analyst Frankie and featured panelists Tom, CEO of Metis and Advisor to LazAI; Joyce Cui, Partner at AssetoFinance; John, Founder of Showup; Edward, Partner at CGV; Randy, Co-Founder of ARO; and Esther Jiang, Head of Conflux Hong Kong. The discussion focused on how artificial intelligence can advance the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA), examining the integration of AI with Web3 infrastructure, regulatory considerations, on-chain asset processes, and security mechanisms, providing constructive and forward-looking insights.
The Chinese panel, titled “DePIN Infrastructure and the Data Economy,” was moderated by Senior Analyst Cynic and featured Quan Yu Gong, Co-Founder and CIO of RootData; Timi, Head of Investments at Web3Labs; Ning He, CEO of Cryptoracle; Jack, Investor at Binineex; Leo, Partner at LK Venture; Robin Duan, Founder of Metay.ai; and Jt Song, Head of Greater China at 0G. Panelists explored technological approaches for DePIN, strategies for unlocking data value, and innovations in business models, emphasizing that the future of DePIN involves not only decentralized infrastructure but also the assetization and circulation of data.
Both panel sessions offered rich and thought-provoking content, highlighting the industry’s active engagement and focus on the convergence of AI, DePIN, and Web3.
