Chainlink is surging

LINK's fully diluted value stands close to $12.59 billion, matching its market cap since supply is fully unlocked. Circulating supply sits at 748.09 million LINK, out of a 1 billion max supply. This Chainlink News Today comparison shows LINK's monthly gain running well ahead of Ethereum's.

$34 Trillion Transaction Value

Chainlink's own metrics page now shows more than $34 trillion in transaction value enabled. That figure covers the cumulative USD value of transactions that have used a Chainlink oracle since launch.

Chainlink also reports over $56 billion in total value secured across the networks it serves. This Chainlink News Today milestone reflects usage, not price, and the figures come directly from Chainlink's own platform data.

Chainlink describes its role with six core benefits, shared in a recent official post:

  • Global liquidity

  • Always-on markets

  • Seamless connectivity

  • Near-instant settlement

  • Novel products and services

  • Automated risk management

Smart Value Recapture Explained

A newer Chainlink tool targets a cost called Oracle Extractable Value. When a price update lands onchain, bots race to liquidate loans it pushes underwater, and the protocol usually loses that profit.

Smart Value Recapture, or SVR, sends each price report twice. One copy goes through the public network as usual. The other travels a private route where searchers bid for the right to backrun it, and the winning bid splits between the protocol and the LINK network.

The design only allows backrunning of liquidations. It cannot be used for sandwich attacks, and if the private route fails, the standard feed keeps publishing as normal.

Aave was the first protocol to integrate SVR, on Ethereum, in March 2025. Chainlink has since added a second auction venue and extended SVR to Base, Arbitrum, and BNB Chain.

The Bottom Line

This Chainlink News Today update points to real momentum. LINK is outpacing Ethereum over the past month, Chainlink has crossed $34 trillion in enabled transaction value, and Smart Value Recapture is expanding across chains. Anyone tracking Chainlink News Today should watch how SVR adoption and LINK price trends develop next.
