Can Hyperliquid’s HYPE Token Reach $97 Or $163 After New ATH?

Hyperliquid Adds CPI Prediction Market As HIP-4 Moves Into Macro Trading

HYPE is back in full price discovery after Hyperliquid’s token pushed to another all-time high, forcing traders to redraw upside targets instead of relying on old resistance zones.

The latest HYPE breakout already showed why the move matters: whales kept buying, short sellers came under pressure, and Hyperliquid’s market structure stayed strong while many large-cap altcoins lagged. Now the chart has moved into a more aggressive phase, with HYPE trading near its record zone after reaching a new high around the mid-$70s.

A fresh technical setup from Ali Martinez puts $97 and $163 in focus after earlier sell signals were invalidated. That does not make either target automatic, but it changes the risk map. Once a token breaks into new highs, traders often look to extension levels, momentum bands and market-cap comparisons rather than previous chart ceilings.

$97 Is The First Big Test

The near-term bullish target is $97. That level sits close enough to the current price to become the first serious upside magnet if HYPE keeps holding above the old breakout range.

A push toward $97 would require continued spot demand, shallow pullbacks and no major unwind in open interest. It would also move HYPE closer to the round-number $100 target already gaining traction across market commentary. Recent HYPE price analysis has treated $100 as possible if buyers keep defending the former high zone around $60.

That makes $60 to $65 the key invalidation area for the short-term bull case. As long as HYPE holds above that former resistance band, the market can treat dips as consolidation. A decisive break below it would turn the rally from price discovery into a deeper reset.

$150 To $163 Is The Blow-Off Scenario

The more aggressive target is $163. That zone overlaps with the bigger bullish narrative around Hyperliquid becoming a full trading super-app rather than only a crypto perp DEX.

Arthur Hayes has already put a $150 HYPE target into the market and argued that Hyperliquid could challenge Solana’s market-cap position before the cycle ends. Bitwise has also framed HYPE as one of crypto’s most undervalued assets, with the thesis built around fees, buybacks and Hyperliquid’s expansion into broader trading markets.

That is the bull case behind $150 to $163. HYPE needs more than chart momentum. It needs continued revenue, strong perp volume, sticky USDC liquidity, fund-linked buying and no sharp loss of confidence in Hyperliquid’s execution.

The clean setup is now simple: $97 is the next realistic breakout target if HYPE keeps holding the former ATH zone, while $150 to $163 becomes the high-momentum scenario if the squeeze continues. A drop below $60 would damage that structure. Until then, HYPE remains one of the few large crypto assets where the chart, whale flow and narrative are still pushing in the same direction.
