Figure runs its loan marketplace on the Provenance Blockchain, a Layer 1 protocol built for financial services. Loans are tokenized and settled on-chain, cutting out intermediaries and reducing processing costs.
Since 2018, Figure has originated more than $19 billion in loans across its blockchain platforms. The model appears to be scaling well, with margins expanding as volume grows.
YLDS, Figure’s SEC-registered yield-bearing security, had $598 million outstanding as of Q1 2026. It functions similarly to an interest-bearing stablecoin but carries full regulatory approval, which sets it apart from most crypto-adjacent products.
The instrument is backed by Figure’s loan origination pipeline, giving it a real asset base that pure crypto competitors cannot easily replicate. For investors watching the digital asset space, YLDS is worth tracking as one of the largest regulated yield products running on blockchain infrastructure.
Figure merged with its subsidiary Figure Markets in August 2025, bringing lending, trading, and yield generation under one roof. The company is headquartered in Reno, Nevada, and trades on NASDAQ under FIGR.
It went the IPO route rather than a token sale, a choice that has kept it clear of the regulatory friction that has tripped up token-based business models.
For the six months ended June 30, 2026, basic EPS from continuing operations was $0.60, up from $0.04 in the same period last year.
