XRPL Services highlighted a problem caused by a technical issue that had led to problems with its escrow services on the XRP ledger network. According to XRPL Services, the fixes are in progress and will be restored soon without any further effort from the user end.
The information is released by XRPL Services via its official X account. It stated that certain users had paid for the 1 XRP fee, but transactions did not go through. Such problems made it difficult to process escrow transactions.
The company also identified flaws in the Escrow Creator xApp. Other users got messages that their escrow was not addable. These unsuccessful attempts did not allow successful establishment of escrow transactions.

XRPL Services said that all transactions involved will be reprocessed. Those escrows that have failed before will be processed automatically. Users will not need to resubmit requests or take further steps.
The company also plans to introduce an automated refund mechanism. This system will identify duplicate fee payments tied to a single request. Any extra amount charged will be returned directly to the user.
Escrow releaser services support automated fund distribution on the XRP Ledger. They are commonly used for time-based or condition-based transfers. Service interruptions can affect the expected execution of these transactions.
XRPL Services acknowledged the disruption caused by the issue. It said the problem created operational difficulty for some users. The firm added that work is ongoing to stabilize the service.
The update included a message of thanks to users. XRPL Services expressed appreciation for their patience. It also confirmed that resolving the issue remains a priority.
In a separate development, the XRP Ledger ecosystem introduced zero-knowledge proof capabilities. The feature was added through integration with Boundless. This upgrade supports confidential transactions on a public blockchain.

Zero-knowledge cryptography allows verification without exposing sensitive data. Transaction values and participant details can remain private. The network can still confirm activity without revealing underlying information.
The update also includes new developer tools. The XRPL starter kit is part of this release. These tools aim to support building applications within the ecosystem.
XRPL Services did not disclose the number of affected users. It noted that the issue caused disruption across some transactions. Recovery actions remain in progress as the system is corrected.
The incident highlights the challenges in maintaining blockchain service tools. Even established systems can face execution problems. The firm’s response focused on transparency and corrective measures.
