Webuy signed a memorandum of understanding with Shanghai Moyu Travel Service, which operates the MeetPanda platform. The agreement focuses on developing new travel experiences for international visitors across China. The partnership combines WeTrip’s international reach with MeetPanda’s local travel network.
WeTrip reported approximately $907,000 in total transaction value during the second quarter of 2026. The figure exceeded the comparable period in 2025 by more than nine times. June transaction value reached about $419,000, representing more than tenfold annual growth.
The company stated that the agreement supports broader expansion within China’s inbound tourism market. Furthermore, both companies plan to develop locally connected travel experiences for international visitors. The memorandum establishes a cooperation framework, although it does not create binding commercial obligations.
The planned cooperation covers cultural tours, city walks, culinary activities, photography experiences, and wellness programs. It also includes corporate visits, technology tours, and customized travel services. Consequently, the companies intend to broaden travel offerings through WeTrip’s platform.
Initial projects target Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Xi’an, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Xiamen and Huangshan. These destinations represent important tourism centers across China. The partnership aims to provide broader destination coverage for international travelers.
MeetPanda brings an established domestic network to the cooperation. According to information provided by Moyu, the company generated cumulative gross merchandise value exceeding RMB1 billion. It facilitated more than 400,000 group trips and completed four financing rounds totaling nearly RMB200 million.
MeetPanda stated that its network reaches more than 60% of Chinese cities. The platform operates through over 3,000 certified bilingual Panda Captains across the country. As a result, Webuy expects stronger local service capabilities through the cooperation.
Besides expanding partnerships, Webuy continues developing artificial intelligence agents across product development and operations. These systems analyze customer demand and identify emerging travel preferences. They also support product creation and commercial rollout across the company’s travel business.
The company plans to strengthen WeTrip’s position by expanding travel partnerships and technology capabilities. The memorandum remains non-binding until both parties execute additional agreements for specific projects. Therefore, future commercial activities will depend on separate negotiated arrangements between Webuy and Moyu.
